Last day for the foreseeable future
Dear Year 13 and Parents/Carers of Year 13,
Friday 20th March
Today will be the students’ last day for the foreseeable future and it is with regret that we cannot provide them with a leavers’ assembly or any of the usual traditions. We want to reassure you that in the future, when it is possible, we will have a formal gathering to celebrate all Year 13 have achieved.
- Schools may be closed, however teachers are still accessible via email. If you have not yet finished the course,
your teachers will contact you with the content.
- If you are worried about the data your teachers have for you, feel free to contact them and they may be able to set you an assessment to complete at home.
- Please continue to work hard on your coursework as this may be used to support your final predicted grade.
- With regards to UCAS, we advise that students do not make any hasty decisions, and await advice from the school, Government and UCAS themselves. Please ensure your email address on the UCAS website is up to date.
Monday 23rd March
We advise that any work at home is brought into school. This includes any mock papers. There will be tables set out in reception for students to do this. This needs to be completed on Monday 23rd March between 11am and 1pm. This is to ensure that we have evidence to support any data we may be asked to provide.
Finally, please ensure that you are contacting the sixth form team using the following email. This means that both of us can access the communication. Be aware that replies may not be immediate, given the circumstances.
Rest assured we will keep you updated at every point and ensure you are well informed.
Many thanks and look after yourselves,
Assistant Head i/c Post-16
Acting Head of 6th Form
