Remote Learning – Additional resources

Please see below a list of resources we have shared over the last few weeks to support your child during this time.

London Learning at Home
The London Curriculum Team has brought together free learning and cultural offers that students can access from home. It aims to support parents during this challenging time. The new searchable webpage focuses on Londonspecific offers. It can be accessed at: www.london.gov.uk/learning-at-home

FutureLearn Schools
This is a new initiative that gives students aged 13 and above free access to over a hundred relevant short courses in order to support their learning and expand their horizons. It will be free to access from May until September 2020 to every student in the UK. Over 40 renowned universities and institutions including the University of Leeds, The Open University and King’s College University are among the founding partners. Students will be able to learn from expert educators. They will be able to access tests, gain certificates upon successful completion of course assessments, and keep access to the course content. Audible Stories
All children’s audible books are available for free while schools are closed. It can be accessed at: https://stories.audible.com/start-listen

English Mastery
This provides downloadable resource books providing 12 weeks of activities covering writing and poetry. It can be accessed at: https://www.englishmastery.org

Maths Kitchen
This is an interactive GCSE revision website. Resources are categorised by topic, including video lessons and practice questions. It can be accessed at: https://mathskitchen.com/topics

The National Academy
This has been created by teachers from some of the leading schools across England. It will provide 180 video lessons each week, across a range of subjects for every Year group from Reception to Year 10. Each lesson lasts one hour. The Bitesize Secondary Planner
This is a 10-minute podcast landing every weekday morning on BBC Sounds.
